In today's rapidly evolving economy, the ability for individuals to pursue a life of meaning, to develop their skills, and contribute to society on their own terms is paramount.

However, at every step, Bidenomics systematically works to empower union bosses’ instead of workers.

‌

Joe Biden is trying to overrule 27 states by overturning their right-to-work laws and also impose restrictive measures that force independent contractors into employee/employer relationships they actively seek to avoid.

‌

Bidenomics is all about big government, big interventions into the economy, and big handouts to Biden’s union boss allies.

‌

John, I don’t have to tell you this fight to restore American prosperity and get Americans back on track with their dreams is urgent.

‌

You know that.

‌

Bidenomics is not about expanding opportunity for workers; it’s about expanding union bosses’ power and government control over workers and employers.

‌

When I go to Capitol Hill, I know your united voices are already ahead of me, telling legislators to listen to reason and vote on principle for better policies.

• President Biden likes to say he’s on the side of the working man and woman (only if they are in a union?).
• Workers see a government more interested in rewarding wealthy Californians who want to drive electric cars than Americans who want to drive a truck for a living.  
• Bidenomics Erects Barriers to Work
  • The Biden Labor Department’s contractor rule jeopardizes the independent status, and even the careers, of tens of millions of Americans
    • Including: truckers, gig economy workers, freelancer writers, self-employed entrepreneurs, and workers in diverse professions such as optometrists, some construction workers, yoga instructors, photographers, lawyers, health care providers, entertainers, drivers, and hair stylists.
  • The Biden National Labor Relations Board wants to classify franchise workers as employees not just of the franchise owner – who pays their salary – but of the larger company that issues the franchise. 
    • This would hurt workers at of the hundreds of thousands of American franchises such as restaurants or anyone who hires other businesses to perform certain services, such as janitorial, lawn maintenance, or delivery.
  • Biden says he will sign “The Protecting the Right to Organize Act” (PRO Act) designed by union bosses.
    • The PRO Act overturns the will of the people in 27 states via a national veto of right-to-work laws.
    • The PRO Act forces a large swath of independent contractors into employee/employer relationships they seek to avoid or puts them out of a job altogether.
    • The PRO Act compels employers to hand over their employee’s sensitive personal information to labor union representatives, exposing them to intimidation or harassment.
  • We know The PRO Act results are so bad, because California has already tried a similar law, AB5, with disastrous results for its economy and workers.
    • Biden is nominating again California’s Julie Su for Labor Secretary so she can take California’s failures national. Click HERE for a reminder on why President Biden should nominate a Labor Secretary who would better serve the interests of the American workforce.

I also recently went on Mike Rowe’s The Way I Heard It show to advocate against The PRO Act.

Abundance is possible when people are free to pursue a life of meaning — when they’re free to discover and develop their skills and use them to contribute to society.

‌

In other words, when they’re free to work where they want, when they want, on their own terms.

‌

But outdated employment laws are preventing American workers from reaching their full potential. It’s time we empowered them with the freedom and flexibility they need to succeed in today’s economy.

‌

Congress needs to roll back these burdensome regulations and champion a more flexible workforce. Passing the Employee Rights Act is a good first step. This bill would protect independent contractors and freelancers and contains provisions that would also defend the ability of small businesses and franchises to continue operating. It also offers worker protection in union matters. Another key labor reform is the Working Families Flexibility Act. This bill would offer workers more benefit options regarding their overtime work.

‌Instead of emboldening union leaders to aggressively seek power grabs over American workers and businesses, President Biden and Congress should focus on advancing worker choice and flexibility.

‌This includes:

1. rejecting the PRO Act and President Biden’s regulatory agenda
2. enacting reforms to better equip workers and businesses to navigate the 21st Century economy such as the Employee Rights Act.
