Streamlining Connections:Introducing Our Online Newsletter Submission Platform

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to introduce a new and exciting way for our community to connect. Instead of the traditional method of emailing events to us, we now offer a convenient online form for newsletter submissions. This new platform is designed to simplify the process and establish a dynamic hub for sharing on behalf of your organization.

The online newsletter submission isn't just for events—it's an all-encompassing form, you will be able to share your Above The Fold guest letters with us, job opportunities, reports, and other resources. You'll find the submission link [[link removed]] conveniently located at the end of each newsletter, making it easy for you to contribute. Approved events can be found on our website under “ Events [[link removed]]” on the “ News, Press + Events [[link removed]]” page.

Our aim with this new initiative is to foster even stronger bonds within our network. By providing a user-friendly platform for sharing, we hope to facilitate collaboration and communication among our members and our broader network.

We look forward to the valuable contributions you'll make through this new submission process. This process will continue to evolve as we recognize needs may change. We hope this opens the door to expand the capabilities of this process. Thank you for being a part of our community—we're excited to grow and connect with you all through this exciting new avenue.

As we bid farewell to Black History Month, we honor the remarkable contributions and achievements of Black individuals throughout history, whose resilience and innovation have shaped our world. We thank you for sharing your voice and work with us as we transition into Women’s History Month and beyond. Being part of our alliance means we have a collective opportunity to make a difference. By supporting intersectional gender-lens initiatives, advocating for policy change, and amplifying the voices of women and gender non-conforming people around the world, we can contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future for all.

Registration is open for Women's Foundation California's 2024 Funders Policy Institute [[link removed]], an immersive learning program focused on increasing philanthropic resources to support policy advocacy advancing racial, economic, and gender justice throughout California.

The Women's Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 grant cycle [[link removed]]. For this cycle, grant funds will be designated to support organizational transformation to benefit gender and racial equity within the greater Cincinnati region, and within the organizations that work on key issue areas in the economic mobility and self-sufficiency spaces. In her new bestseller, "Fundraising Without Burnout: Radically Reimagining Philanthropy to Transform Your Impact," [[link removed]] Radha Friedman shines a light on why burnout rates are soaring, how burnout is gendered, and why fundraisers are being hit hardest. A love letter to everyone who does social change work, the book offers a feminist lens and critique of how many of the “best practices” we’ve been taught are actually toxic, and how oppressive systems are designed to exhaust you to keep the status quo in place.

Join MADRE and their partners for Climate Breakdown: Feminist Responses to Armed Violence, Extractive Industries, and Forced Migration [[link removed]], an event discussing feminist peacebuilders' efforts to seek climate and gender justice while advocating for restorative energy systems as a transformative tool for sustainable equity at the Church Center of the United Nations. The event will explore how climate breakdown is fueled by economic models that favor extractive industries, which in turn drive armed violence, forcibly displace communities, and undermine the livelihoods and rights of women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ people around the world. CHANGE Philanthropy has launched recruitment for the the 2024 Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals (DAPP) survey [[link removed]]. Child Trends released its highly anticipated A 100-year Review of Research on Black Families [[link removed]], a report that explores the ways in which social science research focused on Black families has changed over 10 decades. Organized into two volumes—Volume 1: 1920 to 1969 and Volume II: 1970 to 2019—lead authors Chrishana M. Lloyd and Mavis Sanders consider each era’s social, political, and economic contexts to use the past to develop lessons for the future.

Liberty Hill’s new Liberation Fund will be hosting an online funder briefing [[link removed]]. This event will illuminate the potential pathway for Los Angeles County to become the largest jurisdiction in the nation to end the incarceration of girls and gender-expansive youth.
