Team,
There are two types of numbers insiders look at this early in a campaign: polling results and fundraising reports. Neither comes very often.
But on Tuesday, we're closing the books on our first fundraising quarter of the year. Then we're sending our report to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Anyone -- from local reporters to billionaire Republican PAC funders -- will be able to see if we have the funds we need to keep this campaign running. As Andy's finance director, I know that if we fall behind now, we'll have to wait another three months to prove we can pull this off.
I'm working hard from home to make sure we don't fall behind the competition. If you're able to make a contribution before Tuesday's FEC deadline, your support will have a huge impact. So, I'm asking now: will you chip in?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
If we fall behind, we'll see local and national press writing articles predicting a loss. Corporate PACs will shift more money toward buying this election. And we'll see more attacks against Andy on the airwaves. And all of that could last until our next FEC deadline in June.
But if we show that this campaign is strong as ever, we can focus on what's most important: building a neighbor-to-neighbor, person-to-person movement to score even bigger wins for working families.
Andy needs as many supporters as possible to chip in before Tuesday's FEC deadline. If you're able to give now, please chip in to help us submit our strongest fundraising numbers yet.
Thanks for your support,
Andrea Dolan
P.S. -- Andy also thinks a lot of this is bogus, which is why he's a strong proponent of ending Citizens United and fixing our democracy. If that's the kind of person you want in Congress, chip in now.
