Please join our seventh annual Sister District Summit over Zoom on Saturday, March 9 — featuring a welcome from Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and a special fireside chat with  former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes! 

We are thrilled to announce that Governor Katie Hobbs will kick off the Summit on March 9th! Gov. Hobbs will speak about one of the most hotly contested states in the 2024 election cycle. With a contested presidential, a competitive US Senate race, and several congressional races and the opportunity to flip both legislative chambers, Arizona will be key for Democrats this fall. 

 Keynote Speech from Mandela Barnes 

Mandela Barnes is the 45th Lt. Governor of Wisconsin – the state’s second-ever Black statewide elected official and first-ever Black Lt. Governor. He started his career as an organizer, served in the Wisconsin legislature, and ran a record-breaking U.S. Senate campaign, where he came one point away from unseating a two-term incumbent in Wisconsin’s closest Senate election in 100 years.

Crossing the Bridge Fundraiser and Meet and Greet - Mark Your Calendar!

In conjunction with the State Bridges program, we will be participating in the Sister District's Crossing the Bridge fundraising event on Sunday, April 14, starting at 11:00 AM. Here in DC, we are planning an in-person walk across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, followed by our Spring volunteer kick-off party.
