John,

Tennessee has been largely abortion-free since shortly after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Unfortunately, pro-lifers' work in the state isn't done. The abortion industry is working overtime to ship women across state lines to have their children killed.

The Bristol, Tennessee, abortion facility even shipped itself across the state line, relocating to Bristol, Virginia, where abortion laws are much looser.

The local 40 Days for Life campaign followed it.

"Situated on the border, 40 Days for Life participants see abortion-minded women arrive daily from up to seven different states," wrote Angie, the local leader. "But they are fighting back with prayer, fasting, and a collective voice."

In the midst of their Lenten vigil, Angie and her team made the long journey to Richmond for the Virginia March for Life to represent their corner of the state...and all those who come there for abortions.

"Seventeen people ranging in ages from 8 to 70 traveled 10 hours, round-trip, to represent Southwest Virginia," Angie said. "We are a voice not just for women and children in Virginia but for those who cannot speak for themselves in surrounding states."

40 Days for Life director of medical affairs and education and former abortion provider Dr. Haywood Robinson recently visited campaigns across Tennessee. Here's what's going on in the Volunteer State.

Memphis, Tennessee

A sidewalk counselor started up a conversation with a woman who had brought her niece to Planned Parenthood.

"The lady had no idea Planned Parenthood was previously an abortion facility--and is now an abortion referral facility," wrote Miah, who coordinates 40 Days for Life volunteers in Memphis. "She said she does not believe in abortions and would never have or advise anyone to have one."

The woman marched into the abortion facility, got her niece, and left!

The young woman is one of 12 mothers spared from abortion at the vigil so far!

Nashville, Tennessee

The evil of abortion was palpable in Music City as Haywood witnessed a Satanic Temple flag posted in the window of an apartment right across the street from Planned Parenthood.

The facility also deployed escorts to prevent clients from learning about the full range of pregnancy options.

But where sin increases, grace abounds all the more! Haywood said a large group came out to the sidewalk to pray--including a deacon who has been actively involved in the pro-life movement since 1973!

Then the boy's father cried out, "I do believe, help my unbelief!"

--Mark 9:24

Lord, we ask that you might grant every person struggling with doubts the reassurance that you are with them. We ask that you might work in the hearts of men and women who question your existence. We pray that more people will come to believe that you are the source of all strength and the summit of all hope. And we ask you to help us to trust that through your work in our lives, we can build up a culture that recognizes the dignity of every person. Amen.

For life,
