WEC. đź—Ż Rick Esenberg, WILL President and General Counsel, stated, “This matter was settled two years ago and there is no need to redraw the congressional maps. The request to redraw these maps was both procedurally improper and legally wrong, and we are glad the Court has declined the invitation to revisit this matter.” Learn About It Here UPDATE | WILL’s “School Scorecard Dashboard” Provides WI In-depth Statistics and Greater Transparency We released our 2024 School Data Dashboard last week, which equips parents and taxpayers with data to see how school districts across the state are performing. Check Out How Your District Stacks Up NEW | UW Continues Unlawful Discrimination, Despite Harvard Ruling We asked the University of Wisconsin to investigate and reform several discriminatory programs that remain active despite last summer’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard. ‼️ Officials at UW have promised to bring the system into compliance with that landmark decision, but many illegal policies persist. đź—Ż Dan Lennington, WILL Deputy Counsel, stated, “We appreciate that the University of Wisconsin has made progress toward promoting true equality since the Harvard decision, especially during negotiations with the Legislature, but more work must be done. The University should continue its efforts by investigating remaining race-based programs, and reform those programs so that assistance and services can be distributed based on merit and need, not crude racial categories.” đź“° Read more in The Central Square.
