Last month, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos used in IVF treatments are human beings and those who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death. The decision crushed the hopes of countless Alabama couples who are trying to have a child through IVF. And it was a serious warning sign of how extreme the MAGA GOP has become.

Then, this story dropped last week:

The article details how a group connected to anti-choice billionaire Trump donors channeled more than half a million dollars to support the election of a current Alabama Supreme Court candidate who believes “embryos were human beings whose lives begin at fertilization.”

Once again, we witness billionaires’ secret influence in the courts.

The sordid scheme to capture and control our judiciary for the billionaire class isn’t just happening in Washington. It’s taking place across the country and it’s causing real harm to all Americans — but particularly women.

We cannot allow right-wing billionaires to continue influencing government from the shadows.
