It’s official, folks: Tammy Baldwin has an opponent.

Eric Hovde – who lives in California – has been hand-picked by the GOP to run against Tammy for a seat that could potentially decide Senate control.

I give it a few more days before we see national Republicans spend millions of dollars on the airwaves attacking Tammy. I know that Wisconsinites will see right through this carpetbagger, but it’s up to this grassroots team to give her the support she needs to fight back against their spending spree.

Tammy has been a consequential vote on some of the Senate’s most historic legislation in recent years – the Inflation Reduction Act , the Respect for Marriage Act , our biggest investment in climate ever, and our first major gun safety bill in decades.

If we want to see more progress on issues like Social Security and Medicare, reproductive health care, veterans’ benefits, and more, we need to send Tammy back to the Senate in November.
