Tomorrow is a big day for North Carolina Democrats, John — it’s primary day.
We have strong candidates up and down the ballot, and I know that once the primary is done, Democrats will unite to ensure victory in November.
Thanks to one turncoat representative who switched her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, the GOP has a one-vote supermajority in Raleigh. With it, they’re hoping to undo all the hard-won progress we have made under my leadership.

With their ill-gotten supermajority, GOP legislators are trying to advance their extremist agenda. They have also devolved into political infighting over culture wars while ignoring the real work of governing.
North Carolinians deserve elected leaders who work for us — not for an extreme, partisan agenda. All we have to do is commit to doing everything we can to defeat far-right Republicans who are set on dragging us back.
North Carolina is a 50-50 state. As long as Democrats stand together, we have the strength to defeat the GOP and BREAK their supermajority.
