John,
This February, our administration rolled up their sleeves and got straight to work!
We worked hard, Wes signed legislation, and we had some fun along the way. Here are some of the February highlights you may have missed:

To start the month, we honored the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and the start of Black History Month by exploring the stories of civil rights leaders like Thurgood Marshall, Juanita Jackson Mitchell, and Pauli Murray. We encourage folks to visit Maryland's Black history museums and landmarks all year long!
Earlier in February, Wes delivered the 2024 State of the State Address. He reflected on our successes over the last 12 months, and highlighted this year's plans to make Maryland safer, more affordable, more competitive, and the state that serves. If you missed it, you can watch the stream here. [[link removed]] But if there is one thing you should know, it’s that our state is strong.

Wes and Aruna also rolled out their top legislative priorities by supporting a package of 16 bills this session. As part of their agenda, Wes testified in support of the ENOUGH Act.
The ENOUGH Act is a data-backed approach to eliminate poverty across the state by strategically channeling state money and support toward our most impoverished neighborhoods. This legislation will help transform once-distressed communities into places with top-notch schools, good jobs, safe neighborhoods, affordable and quality housing, and economic momentum that uplifts businesses and entrepreneurs.

A quick snapshot of February shows just how hard Wes is fighting for Marylanders. If you want to keep up with the latest, make sure to follow Wes on social media!
