John,

This has been a tough few weeks for everyone. But, I wanted to share a story that brightened my week — a gift I will remember for the rest of my life.

A supporter reached out to me to tell me about his 8-year-old granddaughter, an aspiring gymnast and scientist. Together, they came up with the term, SIISWAG — which stands for “strong, intelligent, independent, skilled women and girls.” They take time to recognize who may be a siiswag, and then they send that person a gift — a hat with the term SIISWAG on it.

They sent one to me. I’m a SIISWAG!

If you believe we need to celebrate more strong, intelligent, independent, skilled women and girls in Congress, chip in here. [[link removed]]

This is one of the greatest honors I could receive in my whole life. This little girl is incredible. She is why I’m running: for her and her grandfather. I will think of this whenever I’m having a bad day.

These are the things that motivate me to keep going, even in this time of crisis. I’m inspired by this 8-year-old SIISWAG, and I hope to be an inspiration to her too — and all the other SIISWAGs out there.

I want her to know that women and girls like us can be in Congress, but I need your support to get there. [[link removed]]

If you’re in a position to chip in, please help me keep this momentum going. It’s stories like this that give me so much hope for the future.

Thank you for being in this fight with me.

All my best,

Lindsey
