Last year, we launched a petition to get abortion pills in pharmacies versus the previous unnecessary regulation of picking them up in-person at a physician’s office.

CVS and Walgreens will start dispensing mifepristone this month in certain states. [1]

We are thrilled with this recent development. While there is a ways to go until abortion pills are readily available nationwide, CVS and Walgreens fulfilling their pledge to offer abortion pills in their stores is a positive step forward.

Having access to mifepristone in your local pharmacy is one less barrier people have to face in order to have an abortion on their own terms.
