Friends and Comrades- Happy March! We are excited that our chapter elections are all over and that we can to focus on all the important work we have to do in 2024! Also, thank you to everyone who voted in the election. Contested elections are a healthy sign of growth for our chapter and one way we assure that DSA remains a member-run organization.

Our chapter and other allied organizations are currently collecting signatures for a petition demanding the City Council pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. If you are a resident of the city of Santa Fe, please consider adding your name to the petition at this link.?

Join Santa Fe Jews for Justice and Santa Fe DSA for an evening of Jewish Resistance songs performed by Jordan Wax to raise funds for the UN Palestinian refugee agency.

Join us this Saturday at 5pm at Nuckolls Brewing Co. for our next chapter social. We had an excellent turn-out at the last social and hope to continue that tradition!

If you're someone who wants to support your trans friends, family, and comrades, but feel disconnected from the topic and want to firm up your understandings, then please attend this educational session! Sasha (and Jonathan) will be covering some essential material and offering space for people to ask all the questions they have felt too awkward to ask. This session will move through the basics of trans 101, but will also cover the ways in which queer and trans people are an essential part of our larger radical movements. We'll cover the current attacks against trans people in the US/UK/Canada and go over how to dispel disingenuous anti-trans rhetoric which is all too common.

Our first session will take place at on Saturday, 3/16, at 1pm at Earthcare.

After a resounding success in Michigan, the movement to tell Genocide Joe that we are Uncommitted is only gaining momentum! Right now, the campaign needs volunteers to phone bank to states that have upcoming primaries, primarily Minnesota, which votes tomorrow!
