In the latest installment of Candid Conversations, I met with Dr. Cornel West ([link removed]) , Dietrich Bonhoeffer Professor of Philosophy and Christian Practice at Union Theological Seminary and former University Professor at Harvard University and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University. In our conversation, Dr. West called out the U.S. as enablers in Israel’s crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and emphasized the Biden Administration’s dismissive stance towards both voters and other political leaders calling for an end to Israeli occupation. We also discussed the increasing police presence and lack of mental health resources in public schools, the over-surveillance of communities of color, and the growing need to better protect vulnerable communities.
