This month marks Women's History Month, and despite our collective progress, Republicans are still attacking women and reproductive rights.
Before we talk about it, can you chip in $24 to fund the work ahead WisDems is doing to defend reproductive rights? »
WisDems is the firewall between the extremist WisGOP and everyday Wisconsinites. Without our work, the WisGOP would have a field day taking away access to reproductive healthcare and destroying our democracy to silence our voices on the issue.
But we aren’t just a firewall in Wisconsin; we’re a national firewall between a Republican controlled government and a pro-choice Democratic one.
The right-wing majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, aided and abetted by anti-abortion extremists, has failed our country by taking away a person’s right to make their own medical decisions.
This decision underscores the importance of electing leaders who will protect the right to make our own medical decisions. Abortion is health care, and we can save lives, together, by making sure that the people can get the health care they need and make decisions right for them.
The ultimate goal of Republicans is to ban abortion and IVF nationwide and the fight to protect those fundamental rights runs through Wisconsin for the presidency, Senate, and House.
If we’re going to protect these fundamental rights, we need to elect Democratic leaders who will fight for reproductive justice.
That work starts now by mobilizing voters in our upcoming Spring Election who will be more likely to turnout in November and elect pro-choice leaders up and down the ballot.
We have a huge fundraising goal this month to get voters out to the polls in the Spring Election - $125,000. If everyone reading this email chipped in a few dollars, we’d be halfway to our goal.
So, friend, will you please chip in $24 (or more) ahead of our upcoming fundraising deadline to help us hit our target and ensure we protect our most fundamental rights? »
