Good morning, team!

I'm writing to ask you to make a contribution — of $3 or any amount you can — to our people-powered campaign for Congress. But before I do, let me explain why.

Here's the situation:

With March fully underway, our primary election here in Minnesota is less than 6 months away, and we're just a few short weeks away from an official FEC fundraising deadline.

We've emailed about these FEC deadlines before. They're at the end of every quarter — just four times a year — and are incredibly important to our campaign's chances of success.

After the deadline ends on March 31 at midnight, we're legally required to report our fundraising numbers. How much we've raised, how many contributions make up that amount — it'll all be publicly available for everyone to see, good or bad, big or small.

A lot of people will be paying attention to the numbers we report. Our progressive allies, our right-wing opponents, the media — they're ALL going to be checking the receipts to see how we're doing.

This FEC deadline — the second-to-last one before ballots are cast — is an opportunity to show EVERYONE the power of our grassroots campaign. And since we're funding this campaign together, I'm counting on your support today to show that our movement stands stronger than ever.

So please:

When we report our numbers for this quarter early next month, the super PACs and the billionaires who fund them will be watching closely. They want to know if it's worth the time, money, and effort to pour millions of dark-money dollars into this race and try to defeat us.

Let's make sure they don't like what they see, one grassroots contribution at a time.
