Like the founders of our nation, the founders of Hillsdale College understood the essential connection between faith and freedom. The College was founded in 1844 to offer “sound learning” in order to preserve “the inestimable blessings…of civil and religious liberty.”

Yet today’s ruling class mocks people of faith as “backward,” “bigots,” and even “Christo-fascists.” Politicians like Barack Obama claim that people like you “get bitter” and “cling to guns or religion.”

These so-called elites are full of contempt for you and for Christianity and will not protect your civil and religious liberties.

You and I know that religious liberty in America is under serious threat. But we can reverse course.

The first step is…EDUCATION.

Today’s government policies that threaten religious liberty were conceived and implemented by people deceived by far-Left propaganda in our K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.

That’s why a vital part of this fight—in which Hillsdale College is a leader—is reaching and teaching millions of citizens the TRUTH about America’s great heritage of religious liberty.
