Announcing the 2024 Art Competition

This week, my office announced details for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. It is an honor to recognize these talented art students and l am excited to see some terrific entries during the final competition of my tenure.

The winner of the Tenth District's Congressional Art Competition will have their artwork prominently displayed in the U.S. Capitol beside the winning pieces from each Congressional district.

Bipartisan Work in the Financial Services Committee 

This week, the House Financial Services Committee held a markup of Fintech, Housing, and National Defense legislation.

The committee advanced five pieces of legislation that bring greater accountability to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), ensure the Secret Service has necessary tools to detect and deter illicit finance, and reverse the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) SAB 121 digital asset accounting guidance under the Congressional Review Act (CRA). Click here to read more on these pieces of legislation.
