+ a few important updates about our work together.

Dear John,

I wanted to make a point to check in with you, a cherished supporter of Amnesty International — and to share a few important updates about our work together.

As a global organization, we know this pandemic reveals the interconnectedness of our world in a very personal way. We also know that during trying times like these, the best of humanity can rise.

We appreciate you and cherish you. And while people may need to be physically distant at the moment, we remain united — with you by our side.

Here are a few important internal updates:

  • All Amnesty International USA staff are working remotely, our offices are closed, travel has ceased entirely, and in-person activities have been canceled, postponed, or are becoming virtual.
  • Our important program and campaign work continues. Our team created this online resource center where we’ll share up-to-date information, opportunities for urgent action, and online courses on human rights.
  • We are here for support. Check out this resource for tips about organizing and activism for human rights in a time of global pandemic, as well as tips on practicing self-care.
  • Lastly, the Amnesty International Board has decided to revise our process and timeline for our Global Strategic Plan work, and this will guide Amnesty USA’s strategic planning.

You’re a critical part of our work. That’s why we wanted to share these updates with you.

Thank you, and be well.
