Hi there - I’m China Kerr, wife of Joe Kerr who is running to be your next Representative in Congress. I'd like to share a deeply personal story with you about our IVF experience as Republicans work to further restrict women's healthcare.
22 years ago, Joe and I went through the tedious , costly , and absolutely draining experience of IVF. This past week stirred up a lot of emotions as it was the anniversary of our embryo transfer. As I sat there reflecting on the amazing medical procedure that allowed me to become a mother, I became overwhelmed with gratitude, yet also became worried about the future of IVF for anyone who needs that option.

Who would have thought we would end up here, with your and my freedom on the chopping block? With women having fewer rights to their own bodily autonomy, and with people potentially losing their only chance at creating a family? That's the exact precedent of the Alabama Supreme Court’s decision last week.
Because of IVF, which was protected by Roe v. Wade , Joe and I have our son Joey. He just recently turned 21 years old and he is our greatest joy. Republicans across the country want to strip future families of the same joy, the same opportunity, and the same freedom.
With Joe in Congress, he will be OUR fiercest defender. Because without women's healthcare and reproductive freedom, he would not be a dad – and he plans to fight tooth and nail to enshrine reproductive rights at the federal level.
