Instead, I want to share an article with you — by Ed Yong, a science writer at The Atlantic — that many of us here at Public Citizen have been talking about:

“How the Pandemic Will End”

The article is a thorough — and very frank — chronicle of just how dire this coronavirus pandemic is and how disastrously some leaders have failed in confronting it.

It spells out exactly what has to happen so we can avoid worst-case scenarios, quoting leading health experts and citing numerous articles (for further reading) along the way.

But the article also considers a vision for an America that learns and grows from this crisis:

A communal spirit, ironically born through social distancing, causes people to turn outward, to neighbors both foreign and domestic. ... The U.S. leads a new global partnership focused on solving challenges like pandemics and climate change.

I hope you’ll read the article.

And keep an eye on your inbox for more ways to stay informed and involved.

Be safe.
