Taxpayer – see below.

We cannot stand idly by while such atrocities are committed in the name of “science.” That's why we urgently need your support for a rapid response campaign to end these gruesome eyeball-harvesting experiments on cats in Rochester.

The deadline to help is midnight tonight.

In case you haven’t seen our other emails, here's what you need to know:

Experiment Details:

  • Cats' eyes are being damaged in various ways – with scrapers, lasers, and corneal transplants.
  • Metal posts are implanted into cats' skulls to immobilize them and force them to stare at computer screens for hours at a time.
  • Healthy cats are being killed solely to harvest their eyeballs for experimentation.

Funding Details:

The National Eye Institute, a subagency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has provided over $7 million in taxpayer funds for these horrific experiments.

De-fund this abuse NOW >>>

Violations:

The University of Rochester has violated the Stevens Amendment by failing to disclose the use of federal funds for these experiments. We are filing a federal complaint to hold them accountable.

Numerous other violations, including malpractice leading to the deaths of many animals, have been documented.

This is a call to action—a plea for compassion and justice. Together, we can put an end to the needless and painful deaths of dozens of cats!

Your donation will fund our efforts to pressure the University of Rochester and the NIH to shut down these experiments and retire and release all of the cats to good and loving homes.

Every dollar counts in our fight to protect the voiceless and vulnerable from government-funded abuse.

Will you join us in standing up against cruel cat testing and demanding accountability from those responsible?

Please donate today and help us stop Rochester’s eyeball harvesting lab!

Thank you for your compassion and support.

Sincerely,

White Coat Waste Project

Taxpayer, it’s cat slaughtering season for taxpayer-funded labs at colleges and universities across the country.

First, it was the University of Connecticut. Then, it was the University of Pittsburgh. Now, it’s the University of Rochester….

We just uncovered unmistakable evidence that Rochester’s white coats are wasting taxpayer money to SLAUGHTER CATS for the sole purpose of HARVESTING THEIR EYEBALLS.

It’s an Emergency: In the dead of night, Rochester just got permission from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to EXTEND these experiments. That means, as you read this email, they could be removing the eyeballs from more innocent cats!

Please take immediate action to help us cancel payout #R01EY015836, end all cat testing, and put an end to this taxpayer-funded cat torture!

End The Eyeball Torture >>

Taxpayer, unless you and I de-fund this lab, Rochester’s white coats will continue torturing cats in an experiment that would make Victor Frankenstein proud:

  • First, the white coats implant metal posts into his tiny skull. His head is restrained, and he’s forced to stare at a computer screen for hours.

  • Then, they kill him and remove his eyeballs even though he was in perfect health and could have made the sweetest pet.

  • Your bill? You’ve paid more than $7 MILLION over the last eighteen years!

Take Emergency Action >>

Taxpayer, this isn’t science. This is taxpayer-funded torture.

White Coat Waste Project is the only group actively campaigning to de-fund this lab. But our budget is stretched incredibly thin right now.

We simply weren’t financially prepared to take on three new campaigns this month. But we REFUSE to sit idly by as Rochester’s white coats torture more cats.

So, Taxpayer, if you love cats and you can afford to, please consider digging deep and donating whatever you can to our rapid response fund.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay $20 billion+ for wasteful government animal experiments.
