H.R. 7463 – Extension of Continuing Appropriations and Other Matters Act, Passed the House.
Our office did not vote in favor of H.R. 7463 – Extension of Continuing Appropriations and Other Matters Act, because of concerns over reckless spending practices, insufficient accountability mechanisms for taxpayer dollars, and the overall negative impact of ongoing deficit spending. Our office has always had a consistent stance against Continuing Resolutions and a firm commitment to fiscal responsibility. Voting yes is only kicking the can down the road for another shutdown. We need to see action from all members of Congress that put an end to DC’s rampant spending habits.
