House Republicans have yet again put off passing a real spending bill, and chaos continues to reign in Washington. While Democrats are ready and eager to negotiate, the GOP is dragging its feet, more interested in political gamesmanship than finding real solutions.

This isn’t about politics–it’s about people. A government shutdown would hurt MILLIONS of Americans who rely on vital services like paychecks, Social Security benefits, and healthcare. While they bought a few more weeks, the problems we face aren’t going anywhere and we can’t afford to let the GOP continue to hold our government hostage.
