I wanted to share something about me that you might not have known: My family is no stranger to the pain of gun violence. I lost my grandfather in an armed robbery.

That’s why this fight is personal to me, John. I want to make sure more families don’t face the pain that mine did – we can and must do more to prevent violence in our communities by enacting common sense reform.
