John,
This latest ruling in Alabama is already having devastating effects on women across the state – the University of Alabama has paused IVF treatment, and it could lead to the end of IVF in the state altogether.
This has made one thing clear: extreme politicians and judges in the South and across the country won’t just stop at abortion – they’ll go after family planning, reproductive healthcare, contraception, and more.
Virginia remains the only southern state in the country that hasn’t restricted access to abortion following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, but Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has signaled that he would “happily and gleefully” sign anti-choice legislation into law.
These attacks on our fundamental rights have no place in Virginia. We have to protect reproductive freedom for every Virginian in 2025 — and that means electing a pro-choice Governor.
Virginians deserve a Governor who will focus on defending women’s rights and making sure that a woman’s healthcare decisions remain between her and her healthcare provider – not with politicians.
As Governor of Virginia, I’ll continue to support a woman’s right to choose and make sure that reproductive healthcare remains safe and accessible. Will you join me in my campaign today with a contribution?
