Hey John,
I spent some time this morning reflecting on how much we’ve already accomplished this cycle, and I just want to say thank you.
If you’d have asked me 10 years ago if I could see myself serving in Congress, I’d have said you were crazy. I served my country as a Marine. I did my part in protecting our democracy and keeping us safe from enemies who would dare to threaten it. I’d have thought, “What more could I do?”
That changed after watching our government get bruised and battered as extremists took control of the Republican Party, federal courts, and the Capitol in the years following Donald Trump’s win in 2016.
I’m running for Congress because there’s so much more our government could do to thwart dangerous extremists like Lauren Boebert, to prevent threats to our democracy, and to provide for us and our families.
I love our country. I believe in our country. And because of your support these last few months, I believe I might finally get the chance to do something about the direction we’re heading in.
Thank you, John.
Semper Fi,
Ike McCorkle
