Additionally, this bill provides direct cash assistance of checks in the amount of $1,200 for those who make under $75,000 per year, plus $500 per child. We also included a provision that makes rent, mortgage, and utility costs for small businesses eligible for loan forgiveness. I am also proud that Democrats in the House and Senate stood firm in their opposition to the $500 billion corporate slush fund that Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell tried to sneak into the bill. We are fighting for the people, not corporations!
