The Farm Bill is still delayed in Congress…but we must continue to advocate for a strong conservation-focused Farm Bill. 

This Bill serves as a crucial avenue for Congress to shape the nation's food and agriculture policies. It also presents an incredible opportunity to include investments in conservation practices that address a spectrum of issues specific to farmers. 

We’re so excited to be joined by Senator Bob Casey for a virtual event held Tuesday, March 12th from 12:15 - 1:15 pm: From A to C: The Connection Between Agriculture and Conservation with Senator Bob Casey. 

We’ll have a comprehensive discussion with Senator Casey on the intricate connection between conservation and agriculture in Pennsylvania. The Farm Bill is so important for local conservation efforts, reviewing climate-smart agricultural practices and programs, and gaining insights into the latest developments on Capitol Hill!

Truly, the Farm Bill is an incredible opportunity to make a difference for PA farmers and communities at the federal level. But we need to ensure that a new Farm Bill is complete before September 30, 2024 and that it encompasses pro-conservation priorities.

This legislation can provide the crucial support needed to ensure that our farmers, especially small-scale family-owned farms and farmers of color, are supported and incentivized to practice sustainable and pro-conservation farming techniques.
