John,

Welcome to the 4th Edition of the Logan Lineup! Our campaign to defeat Jahana Hayes in Connecticut's 5th Congressional District is heating up, and your energy and dedication are fueling our momentum every step of the way.

Recent polling data has us in the lead, with a 47-39 advantage among those who know both Hayes and myself. It's clear that our message is resonating with voters, and we're gaining ground with each passing day.

Two years ago, I was in one of the most competitive races in the country. I lost by only 2,004 votes - less than 1% - despite being outspent THREE to ONE.

The Democrats have proven they won't go down without a fight. To Flip the Fifth this November, we must keep the momentum going.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey, John.

"New Gallup polling shows Americans consider immigration the country’s single most important problem for the first time since 2019.

Jahana Hayes has been on the wrong side of this issue for years.

Let’s look at the facts: Jahana Hayes voted to let Joe Biden’s Secretary of Open Borders off the hook and repeatedly voted against common-sense border security legislation.

'Connecticut families are mad because they know Jahana Hayes’s inaction on the border has caused the crisis we’re seeing now.'

“Gomes, a Democrat who ran against Ganim in the November general election and Tuesday's as an Independent, during his concession speech pledged 'the movement's not over' and in the immediate future he and his supporters need to turn their efforts toward changing election laws.

'We've got to talk to Hartford,' he said. 'We need to bring some true, strong reforms to the absentee process.'”

"President Biden and former president Donald Trump are making dueling visits to different areas along the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday, underscoring how central immigration issues are in this year’s presidential election campaign.

Biden, during a trip to Brownsville, Tex., chided Republicans for blocking a Senate bill that would have provided billions of dollars in additional funding for border security. Trump, during a visit to Eagle Pass, Tex., blamed Biden for illegal crossings."

"In 2022, then-Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, signed the measures into law, prompting criticism from voting activists. A federal judge is upholding new Arizona laws that would require registered voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship in order for their votes to be counted.

Arizona legislators faced accusations of discrimination when they adopted the laws requiring counties to verify the status of registered voters but, in a ruling Thursday, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruled that such requirements were not discriminatory."

“Longtime Republican leader Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., announced Wednesday he will step away from leadership in November.

McConnell, who turned 82 last week, was set to announce his decision Wednesday in the well of the Senate, a place where he looked in awe from its back benches in 1985 when he arrived and where he grew increasingly comfortable in the front-row seat afforded the party leaders."

"The Senate on Thursday passed a short-term spending bill that punts this weekend’s shutdown threat to later in the month, but leaves questions about how Congress will fund the government through the rest of the year.

Senators voted 77-13 to send the funding measure to President Biden’s desk for his signature, just hours after the House voted overwhelmingly to pass the bill 320-99 and just a day before a tranche of government funding was set to expire."
