"But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies."

– Nehemiah 9:27
South Asia
Praise God for a new survivor-run business that’s just getting started. IJM and our local partner have been supporting a small fishing community where—until a few years ago—dozens of families were trapped in bonded labor slavery. In freedom, they wanted to use their fishing skills and earn their own dignified income. After years of innovation and work with the local government, they now have their own state-of-the-art fish-processing facility to improve how they sell their catch at the market. Pray for the ongoing success of their business and pray it inspires other survivors to pursue their dreams, too!
Africa & Europe

Pray for IJM’s work in Kenya supporting Human Rights Defenders to build capacity for documentation, reporting and crime scene management. IJM will seek to collaborate and support grassroots actors in communities by equipping them with skills that will help promote reliance on the justice system due to effective identification and reporting of police abuse of power cases.
Latin America
Praise God for the first local meeting of survivors of violence in Peru. This was a successful event that gathered 43 women and three men who are committed to overcoming their trauma and raising awareness of practices that contribute to violence in their communities. One of the meeting's key topics was the purpose that each survivor has in life. They also made progress on the creation of a regional survivor network that will serve both as a source of inspiration and an advocacy group to prevent violence. Pray for God to shape their hearts and guide their plans as they continue with these efforts.
Asia Pacific

Praise God for intervention in the life of a young girl in Cambodia suffering from violence and abuse by a family friend. After a concerned whistleblower witnessed the abuse and reported it to the police, the authorities acted swiftly with the support of IJM to investigate and rescue her from the situation. We pray for healing for this girl, both physically and emotionally, and for justice to prevail as the legal process unfolds. May she find safety, restoration and freedom.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
