| Friend,
If Washington was a popularity contest judged by the D.C. Establishment, we’d be coming in dead last.
My husband, Mike Johnson, certainly has the respect of his colleagues in Congress. But when it comes to the special interest groups and D.C. insiders, we’re not exactly at the top of their invite lists.
Mike didn’t come to Washington for the perks. He’s in Washington to get the job done.
And because of that, it’s safe to say a fair amount of judgment is casted upon us.
But Mike does not let that bother him — as he says, what we do is for an audience of one; God is our judge.
The reason we even got into this is for our children. Mike and I want to make sure that the nation that they inherit is one that they can be proud of.
Mike is fighting to preserve the greatest nation that's ever been — the freest, most powerful, most successful, most benevolent country in history. But he can’t do it alone.
Through a lot of prayer and circumstance, Mike and I knew that he was the best man to serve as Speaker of the House, so we decided to pursue the gavel. I say “we” because Mike and I are partners in everything that we do.
We view life as a team sport.
And Mike sees his time in politics the same way, only it is not just he and I standing together. To be successful, we need our fellow proud Americans like yourself to stand beside us as well.
That is why Mike asked me to reach out to you today — to join us, and take a stand. And I hope you will! | | | | | |
