Hi John — Brian again. I'm writing this email to ask you to chip in to help my team in the final stretch ahead of the election on March 5. But first, I want to share another memorable event from my time at the Air Force Academy. It is there my journey of service began. One summer, I spent three weeks at Hahn AFB, Germany on a mandatory cadet program. There I had my first flight in a fighter jet – the F-16 Fighting Falcon! I certainly had no doubts about serving, but if I did, they vanished shortly after takeoff.

That's NOT me (I’m the one taking the picture)!

Growing up, I watched my father don his Air Force uniform each day, and felt a sense of pride knowing he was serving something greater than himself. The legacy of military service runs deep within my family — I am the descendant of a long line of veterans dating back to the Civil War.

I grew up knowing that people, like my father, took an oath to support and defend the Constitution, even though it came with great sacrifice. I followed in my father’s footsteps to serve, earned a congressional appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, and became a first-generation college graduate.

Military service is where I internalized the principles of integrity, excellence, and service before self. It is where I learned to lead and to take action in service of the greater good.

I've served my country in uniform, my community in the trauma bay, and now, I'm running to serve in Congress. During this crucial time before Super Tuesday, I hope I can count on your support.

Our primary is just three days away and we need all hands on deck to win. My team is working overtime to reach as many voters as possible – and we desperately need your help to cross the finish line. Chip in $5, or whatever you can to help us. >>
