This is our last weekend to get out the vote before voting ends on Tuesday, March 5th!

As of yesterday, only 11% of ballots have been returned in Sacramento with a huge disparity by age; 25% of voters 65 and older have voted vs. a paltry 3% of voters 34 and under. Experts are predicting a record low turnout of 29%.

While this is a sad statement on the health of our democracy, this means that every vote we garner for our endorsed candidates is proportionally more impactful in the highly competitive races for mayor and city council.

We urge all DSA members and supporters to do all you can to re-elect Katie Valenzuela to city council and to elect Dr. Flo Cofer as the next mayor of Sacramento.

Reach out to all of your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to make sure that they turn in their ballots. And see the information below to join us for the last round of canvasses and phone banks. Si se puede!

A joint canvass for Dr. Flo Cofer for Mayor and Katie Valenzuela for City Council

We're building a grassroots movement to elect Dr. Flo Cofer as the next mayor of Sacramento, and to re-elect Katie Valenzuela to the city council. Together we're organizing to create a city where everyone can afford housing, make a decent living, and have a voice in our future.

Join us to knock on doors and talk with voters about the changes they want to see in the city. Don’t worry if it’s your first time. We’ll provide training, materials, and everything you need to get started. You’ll also be paired up with a buddy unless you want to go off on your own.
