**MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern is doing his best to shut our government down.** Hern has voted four times since September 2023 to do just that. Fortunately, the reasonable majority prevailed and each time averted a shutdown. **I’m running for Congress in Oklahoma’s First District to defeat Hern and stop his MAGA agenda of chaos and extremism.**



Yesterday, MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern voted NO to a stopgap measure to keep our government open. Joining him were the usual anti-federal government suspects: Boebert, Greene and Gatz. **Ever since Republicans gained control of the House in 2022, we’ve had nothing but unending government shutdown drama.**



**But when Democrats took back the House in 2020, they oversaw the passage of major bills that are having a positive impact on the lives of all Americans.** Bills like the Inflation Reduction Act, the American Rescue Plan Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, the Honoring Our PACT Act, and the Respect for Marriage Act.



**Hern voted NO to every one of these bills.**



**Add it up - the sum of what Hern has done in Congress is a big fat ZERO for America.** But it’s worse than that. **Hern is moving America backwards. Making us weaker. Making us unable to solve our most pressing problems.** Cicero said an enemy at the gates is less formidable than one working within - appealing to baseness, undermining the pillars of the city, and infecting the body politic.



**Our campaign is a fight against the MAGA extremism dividing our country.** This campaign is about the reasonable majority putting an end to extremism by voting for Representatives who place America’s best interests above politics. Who pass meaningful legislation that moves our country forward. Who are working to create the best version of America.
