Hello, Friends —

This week, the House of Representatives considered yet another stop-gap spending measure to continue funding the federal government at Nancy Pelosi spending levels for a few more weeks. This latest continuing resolution, commonly referred to as a “CR,” maintains current funding for federal agencies that violate the rights of Americans and advocates for unnecessary foreign aid, while failing to address our out-of-control spending. I spoke on the House floor in opposition to it because Congress must stop punting the appropriations process and sidestepping the necessary scrutiny of federal agencies and programs, which can only be achieved by debating, amending, and passing 12 individual appropriations bills.

Watching House Republicans is like watching a football team whose best play is the punt. Unfortunately, after passing seven of the 12 single-subject appropriations bills with spending cuts last year, the House gave up on the other five bills. The longer House Republicans kick the can down the road and agree to continue funding the Democrats’ priorities, we are increasing the likelihood of the 12 spending bills being combined into one or two massive bills. Cutting the peoples’ representatives out of the appropriations process by leaving House and Senate leadership to draft bills behind closed doors will undoubtedly keep in place side deals cut by Kevin McCarthy, Chuck Schumer, and Joe Biden, leading to even higher spending.

Last I checked, the Republicans are in the majority in the House of Representatives, but you wouldn’t know that if you looked at our checkbook. House Republicans have been too willing to continue the policy choices of Joe Biden and the spending levels of Nancy Pelosi instead of showing the will and the courage to say that this “woke” and weaponized government must be defanged. It is long past time that we stand up for hardworking Americans, who are seeing higher gas prices, grocery prices, and interest rates due to Congress’ reckless fiscal policies.

WE EITHER SHUT DOWN THE BORDER OR THE GOVERNMENT!

On Monday, I joined “America First with Sebastian Gorka” on Salem News to discuss Congress punting the appropriations process by passing continuing resolutions that prolong the spending of Democrats instead of using our leverage to close the Southern border.

I am not a cheerleader for government shutdowns. But if the Biden administration will not shut down the border, then we have to utilize our leverage to force them to.

JOE BIDEN IS UNLIKELY TO BE IMPEACHED DUE TO WEAK REPUBLICANS!

On Wednesday, I joined “War Room with Steve Bannon” on Real America’s Voice to discuss the Continuing Resolution Speaker Mike Johnson brought to a vote, Mitch McConnell’s announcement that he is stepping down as Senate Republican Leader, and the deposition of Hunter Biden.

My assessment from the deposition is Hunter Biden was essentially managing a money-laundering operation from foreign entities into the Biden family. That said, for dozens of moderate Republicans, they will only vote for impeachment if they see money going directly to Joe Biden. I think he is very unlikely to be impeached by the House of Representatives based on the evidence we currently have.

On Thursday, I confronted Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during a House Armed Services Committee hearing about his failure to notify President Biden of his recent hospitalization. I called out his hypocrisy in asking Congress for forgiveness and grace while refusing to re-recruit and restore the full rank and back pay for the 8,600 service members who were forced out of the military due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

On Thursday’s episode of Firebrand, I reacted to Senator Mitch McConnell stepping down from his leadership position, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s mea culpa on his unannounced medical absence and the revelations from the Hunter Biden deposition.

During the deposition, whenever Hunter Biden explained payments to him, he cast himself as a brilliant & experienced advisor/attorney. Whenever he had to explain the threats, shakedowns and familial overlaps with business, he was a sympathetic addict.
