Happy Friday! I have been hard at work addressing the key issues impacting our communities from healthcare to housing. I’m looking forward to the upcoming events my office will be hosting for our district and I am eager to hear from you about ways in which I can better serve you in Washington.
2024 Congressional Art Competition
Attention IL-02 high school artists! My office is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. The winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.

Honoring the Divine Nine
The Divine Nine encompasses nine historically Black fraternities and sororities whose enduring mission across generations has been to nurture the growth and development of countless leaders within the Black community. On the final day of Black History Month, I took to the House Floor to recognize the importance of these organizations and their indelible impact on our nation.
