Mrs. bush reads to local students this National Reading Day

Mrs. Laura Bush read to Mrs. Wallace's first-grade class at J.N. Ervin Elementary School in Dallas today as part of United Way Reading Day, aimed at encouraging early literacy. As Honorary Reading Day Chair, Mrs. Bush was joined by almost 1,200 volunteers across North Texas. Ervin Elementary received a Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries grant, which will be used to update and diversify their book and print collections.
