I just put out a video today calling on Congress NOT to go on recess and instead to do its job. It’s already received thousands of views and you can watch it here. If you don’t use Facebook, here’s another link.

I feel very strongly about this bill, as you can tell from the video.

When I’m in Congress, I will NEVER give corporate bailouts without demanding public equity in return. (Unlike my opponent Derek Kilmer, whose corporate donors are making off handsomely with this bailout, while the rest of us worry about paying our rents and mortgages.)

I take $0 from corporate PACs. Corporate Kilmer has taken $3.5 million — while calling himself a national leader on getting money out of politics. Hypocrisy.

It’s this kind of thing that makes me run for Congress: seeing our representatives bail out corporations instead of helping us. And then going on recess!

Since I don’t take any corporate money, individual donations are all the more important. I know this is a difficult time for many people, but if you’re able, could you donate $1 now?
