DPD needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police officers ASAP. Crime gets worse; Dallas City Council members do nothing.

Weak Leadership Makes Dallas Weak |
|
|
Polls show again and again that the average Dallas resident ranks public safety as one of the most pressing local issues. The standard of living that distinguishes American life from the third world is quickly disappearing. Yet, despite overwhelming public support for better public safety measures, Dallas’s elected officials ignore the issue altogether.
A recent review that compares crime in Downtown Dallas to Downtown Fort Worth illustrated the problem with status of our understaffed police department. The city’s statistics show that while Dallas crime is dangerously high, many crimes go totally unreported because residents know that DPD does not have the manpower to respond. |
|
In reality, Dallas is far more dangerous than the numbers show, yet our City Council has made it abundantly clear that they are more interested in furthering their ideological interests rather than solving the vagrancy crisis or stopping the culture of crime that exists in the city. Dallas residents must make their voices heard. Early voting for primary elections is NOW, municipal elections are in May and, the Presidential election in November. 2024 is the year for us to hold our elected officials to account at the ballot box. Here's what you can do:
-
Vote for city leaders who will commit to hiring 1,000 new police officers so Dallas can keep up with our city’s record growth and fight crime proactively.
- Vote for city leaders who will fight the vagrancy problem with authority rather than with the passive malaise we have now!
You can fight for the change that you want to see! Click the button to find your nearest polling location and vote TODAY!

Johnson Opines on Criteria for New City Manager
|
“Taxpayers deserve responsible stewardship of their money, and [Dallas] must be in a position to compete for residents and businesses in this fast-growing region. The next city manager should work with this Administration to prioritize the taxpayers’ interests...” The newly appointed Interim City Manger Tolbert is the worst choice possible if this is the goal.

Will Councilman Chad West Earn Crime Boss for 3rd Consecutive Month?
|
Councilman Chad West is off to a bad start in 2024, having earned the Dallas Express' title Crime Boss of the Month for both January and February. Will he continue his streak of failing to protect his constituents in District 1? Crime gets worse; Dallas city council members do nothing.

Is Creuzot’s Theft Amnesty Policy Still in Effect? |
DA Creuzot is more concerned about keeping his job than protecting the residents and businesses of Dallas! "Let-em-go Creuzot" sets criminals free because BLM would riot if he put them in jail where they belong. DPD is already understaffed by 1,000 officers, and Creuzot's refusal to prosecute only adds to their disheartenment.

District 14 Councilman Paul Ridley
"Public Education Camp" |
This camp in Paul Ridley’s District 14 has been dubbed “Public Education Camp.” Placed just outside of a school parking lot, students will have to pass by this vagrant to leave their school. When will the Dallas City Council give DPD the resources to ensure the safety of our children in Dallas's public schools? |

District 7 Councilman Adam Bazaldua
"Squatter's Paradise Camp" |
This camp in Adam Bazaldua’s District 7 has earned the title “Squatter’s Paradise Camp.” One of the largest vagrant camps that exist in Dallas currently, filling out an entire block of empty lots, vagrants can live here with impunity as DPD doesn’t have the resources to tackle this problem. Crime festers here, and public safety is nonexistent. Avoid this area in South Dallas! |

District 6 Councilman Omar Navaraez
"High-35 Camp" |
We named this camp in Omar Navaraez’s District 6 “High 35 Camp.” Placed on the median of Interstate 35 in East Dallas, this vagrant has been in this spot constantly for weeks. Not only is the tent a distraction for drivers on the road, but the vagrant also poses a risk to himself by remaining in the area. Dallas City Council must give DPD the manpower necessary to deal with these vagrants! |

Mission Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
