John,
Just a few weeks ago, we went to the Supreme Court to defend our victory in Colorado barring Donald Trump from the state’s ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
Trump has never liked our lawsuit. He made that clear in a radio interview after our arguments, saying:
“They want to take me out of the race, they want to have, you know, the Supreme Court rule or vote to take me out of the race. That would be a very terrible thing to do. It’s about the vote. It’s about our Constitution. You can’t take the votes away from the people. That would be so bad for our democracy.”
John, Trump is clearly mixing up the facts.
Seth Meyers’s response sums it up best:
What is actually bad for our democracy is inciting an insurrection. What is actually bad for our democracy is trying to overturn election results. What is actually bad for our democracy is allowing an insurrectionist on the ballot.
CREW refuses to stand by while Donald Trump attacks our democracy. We’re fighting for accountability, and we’re fighting to keep him off the ballot. Click to watch Meyers’s monologue and support our work →
