Happy Women’s History Month! As I write to you, I find myself reflecting on the
incredible impact women have had on our country and the advancements they’ve
made throughout our history in politics, art, culture – everywhere. We’ve made
so much progress as a country in terms of gender equality… but there is a
danger of backsliding.

Happy Women’s History Month!

As I write to you, I find myself reflecting on the incredible impact women
have had on our country and the advancements they’ve made throughout our
history in politics, art, culture – everywhere. We’ve made so much progress as
a country in terms of gender equality… but there is a danger of backsliding.

The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, making it impossible for millions of
women across the country to access an abortion. Now, Alabama has ruled that
dropping an IVF sample could mean a felony sentence, effectively shutting down
IVF clinics in the state. And every day we hear more rumblings of what a
Republican victory in 2024 could mean.

National abortion bans, contraception bans, IVF bans, rolling back no-fault
divorce laws. Basic rights and liberties are being denied to women simply for
being women.

Abortion rights and women's rights more generally are on the ballot this
November. And throughout this month we need to think about the women who
brought our country to this point and what we can do to uphold their legacies.

I’ll be working every day to uphold their legacies and protect my daughter’s
future by winning this race and voting to codify women's reproductive freedom
in Washington.
