Trump Media sued by infuriated co-founders ahead of merger, potential setback for lucrative deal
The serial con man has apparently learned nothing from his historic, half-BILLION-dollar fraud ruling in New York last month. Trump was accused in a lawsuit Wednesday of trying to "drastically dilute" the value of stock shares in his social media company held by the firm’s co-founders (and former contestants on the fraudster's TV show, The Apprentice), potentially depriving them of hundreds of millions of dollars in profits. The partnership, United Atlantic Ventures, alleges that Trump Media & Technology Group engaged in "wrongful 11th hour ... maneuvering" to dilute UAV's" minority stake in the media company. Gee, if only they had been able to glean anything from Trump's decades of bilking contractors, f*cking over past business partners, and manipulating deals to benefit himself at the expense of everyone else, perhaps they could've seen the powdered, slow-motion, f*ck-you fist coming straight for their faces.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump ally crashes and burns on live TV
GOP Rep. and noted Trump bootlicker Tim Burchett dragged himself before CNN's cameras and proceeded to humiliate himself for several minutes, peddling absolutely debunked nonsense in the Republican Party's ongoing, futile effort to impeach President Biden. Faced with, you know, verifiable facts and figures, Burchett stumbled and stammered his way through bullshit talking points before openly admitting he actually doesn't know if, when, or how Joe Biden ever made any money from supposed business deals involving members of his family. Enough with the GOP's wasteful, wing-and-a-prayer witch hunt already.

Israeli forces kill at least 112 Palestinians seeking food, humanitarian aid in Gaza
The deaths Thursday of at least 112 Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid in Gaza City sparked widespread international condemnation Friday following what witnesses and Gazan health officials said was the direct result of Israeli fire. Israeli officials dispute that, saying scores of people trampled each other and were run over by fleeing aid trucks. Gaza hospital officials initially reported an Israeli strike on the crowd at the al-Nabusi traffic circle in the western part of Gaza City. Witnesses later said Israeli troops opened fire as people pulled flour and canned goods off aid trucks. Little aid has reached northern Gaza in recent weeks and hunger is rampant. The United Nations has warned that famine is imminent. Initially, Israeli officials acknowledged that troops opened fire, saying they did so because they thought the people rushing toward the aid trucks "posed a threat." Later, officials walked back that admission and claimed troops only fired "a few warning shots" to disperse people. The latest violence pushed the Palestinian death toll in the nearly five-month war to more than 30,000, with another 70,000 injured and many more missing under the rubble. An estimated 1.7 million Palestinians have been displaced since the start of the five-month-old war.

In defiant interview with GOP, Hunter Biden insists father was never involved in business deals
Republicans on the House Judiciary and Oversight committees desperately scrambling to save face in their embarrassing, sham impeachment crusade of President Biden released a nearly 230-page transcript on Thursday, about 24 hours after they concluded their private deposition of Hunter Biden. The president's son repeatedly told House investigators behind closed doors that his father was not involved in his business deals as part of an hours-long and, at times, contentious interview. Much of the GOP's futile investigation has focused on the business deals of Joe Biden’s family members, as MAGA goons in the House have struggled to find anything close to a smoking gun linking official actions he took as president or vice president to those financial agreements. “All I know is this: My father was never involved in any of my business, ever. Never received a cent from anybody or never benefited in any way. Never took any actions on behalf in any way. And I can absolutely, 100 percent state, that is not just in my case but in every family member's case,” a sober and defiant Hunter Biden told lawmakers.

Missouri GOP candidate for governor was only "honorary" KKK member
Folks, relax. Sure, Darrell Leon McClanahan III is a Republican candidate for governor of Missouri, and in his own words is a "Pro-White man, horseman, politician, political prisoner-activist who is dedicated to traditional Christian values." And, okay, yeah, so that is him in the photo giving a Nazi salute alongside a robed KKK member in front of a burning cross. But he has only ever held "honorary memberships" in the Knight's Party Ku Klux Klan and the League of the South. Oh, and about that 2019 photo. McClanahan explained that it was simply "a private religious Christian Identity Cross lighting ceremony falsely described as a cross burning." Whew, glad that's settled.
Former US ambassador admits he spied for Cuba for decades
An ex-US ambassador will plead guilty to spying on behalf of Cuban intelligence for decades, bringing a swift end to a stunning case of high-level subterfuge. Manuel Rocha, 73, is set to admit to several federal charges of conspiring to act as an agent of a foreign government, potentially facing a sentence of several years in prison. According to the feds, Rocha’s double-dealing goes back to at least 1981, the year he entered US foreign service, and includes feeding false information to US officials and meeting with Cuban spies. Rocha allegedly referred to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro as “Comandante,” decried the US as “the enemy,” and boasted about more than 40 years as a Cuban mole at the center of US foreign policy circles. He served two decades as a US diplomat, including as the US ambassador to Bolivia.

IRS launches crackdown on 125,000 wealthy "non-filers"
The IRS plans to finally go after 125,000 high-income earners who did not file tax returns going back to 2017 — and the agency says hundreds of millions of dollars of unpaid taxes are involved in these cases. Mandated in part by funding provided through Democrats’ historic Inflation Reduction Act passed into law in 2022, the IRS in recent months has announced a slew of new campaigns aimed at targeting high-wealth individuals who misuse and abuse the tax system or fail to pay their obligations. Friendly reminder that the GOP has been resolutely steadfast in their mission to defund and dismantle the IRS, because in America, apparently, cheating on your taxes and giving the finger to Uncle Sam is peak patriotism.
Democratic senators rage at "horrific" aid truck killings in Gaza, urge Biden to "use all available leverage" with Israel
Two prominent Democratic senators urged President Biden to take immediate action to help negotiate an urgent ceasefire after more than 100 people were killed when Israeli troops opened fire on a crowd waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza City on Thursday. Sens. Chris Murphy and Chris Van Hollen, who both sit on the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the White House must demand accountability after the mass deaths and ensure aid can reach those starving in Gaza as soon as possible. “People are starving in Gaza. And civilians are dying every day — including in this horrific incident in Gaza City today,” Van Hollen said in a statement. “This has gone on for far too long without sufficient action.”

Government shutdown averted yet again as Trump Republicans blast spending bill
The House and Senate voted to pass yet another stopgap spending bill, averting a looming government shutdown once again — and prompting MAGA bootlickers to level more fury against House Speaker Mike Johnson. The continuing resolution, which fractured the GOP and passed by a vote of 320-99 with Democratic support, will keep the government open until March 8 and opened Johnson up once again to threats from his somehow-even-further-right flank. Asked if he thinks the speaker is in danger of losing his post, an exasperated GOP Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas said, "I don't know. What do we do? Let's just go down to Disney and see if Daffy Duck or maybe Goofy would want the job." Wait, didn't they already try that?
