Family Fun Night: Dr. Seuss's Birthday Party!

Tuesday, March 5, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

The whole family is invited to celebrate the 120th birthday of beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss!

Drop into the Youth department for Whatever-Makes-You-Happy Hour at the Library on Saturdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.! We'll have a variety of games, Lego, Play-Doh, and more for families to enjoy together.

Brown Bag Book Club

Do you like books? Do you want to talk about it? Join us in the Reading Alcove at noon on the first Thursday of every month for Brown Bag Book Club! For March, we're discussing "The Stranger in the Woods" by Michael Finkel. For April, we're reading "Killers of a Certain Age" by Deanna Raybourn.

Teen Collectible Card Game Day

Friday, March 8, 4:30 p.m.

Calling all teen Magic the Gathering, Pok?mon, Yu-gi-oh!, and other collectible card players! Bring your own deck to trade cards or duel with us. Open to grades 6-12.

Story Laboratory: Eclipse!

Tuesday, March 12, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

To prepare for the Great American Total Eclipse of 2024, we?ll learn about our solar system with all five senses through stories, science experiments, crafts, tasty bites, and more. This month we?ll explore eclipses! In collaboration with NASA@ My Library, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and The Franklin Institute. Save the date: Solar Eclipse Extravaganza, April 8, 2024, at Hurst Community Park.

Wildlife on the Move: The Unhuggables

Have some creepy fun for spring break! Come see large hissing cockroaches, creepy tarantulas, slithery snakes, and other various reptiles and invertebrates.

Masterworks Presents: Michael Hix

The Hurst Public LIbrary and Arts Council Northeast are proud to partner to bring you this year's MasterWorks series! Join us in Library Park for a night of music with Michael Hix, along with games, crafts, and snacks for the whole family.

Texas Bluebonnet Award Book Club

Tuesday, March 19, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Dig deep into this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award list. Caregivers and children in grades 3-6 will read one chapter book on the Bluebonnet Award list each month. We'll meet on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss it! Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required. Please call 817-788-7302 to sign up. For March, we'll be reading "You Are Here: Connecting Flights" by Ellen Oh. For April, we'll be reading "New Dragon City" by Mari Mancusi.

L.D. Bell Art Reception

Come see art pieces by students from L.D. Bell High School. Share refreshments and mingle with the student artists whose work will be on display for the month of March.
