John, I want to take you on the journey of a gift to Heifer. Right now, a family in Uganda eagerly prepares for the arrival of a gift. Before they receive it, they must participate in extensive training to learn how to properly care for the new addition to their farm and how to implement sustainable farming methods. Ultimately, we want the family to succeed by being a good steward of their gift.

Not only will the family receive hands-on training and a gift — whether it’s a snuggly sheep, garden seeds, a biogas stove or anything in between — but they’ll also receive connections to other farmers, veterinary supplies, materials to build a pen, and so much more.
