Help us to take action, and oppose the notorious Reindeer Lodge from being granted retrospective planning rights!

The Reindeer Lodge in North Wales is a business that exploits reindeer by hiring them out to event organisers across the UK.  However, the business may be under threat if retrospective planning isn’t granted for their buildings. You can help!

Take action by clicking the below link and sending an email to Flintshire Council to object to these plans. Together, we can protect reindeer from being held captive and used as props in the future!

In this case, the owners simply went ahead and built structures to hold the animals captive in, and to create a visitors’ attraction based on animal exploitation.

Now there is a retrospective planning application with Flintshire Council seeking permission for the two buildings for keeping reindeer, as well as “a seasonal change of use of land to allow visitors on site during certain times of year”- and that is what we must oppose!

We need you to help us take action, and submit your objection to this application by using our online form! 

We must show the council that there is strong public opposition to reindeer farms and businesses in the UK.

We know like you that no animal should have to suffer for entertainment, yet sadly, animal welfare is not generally considered as a reason for refusing planning applications.

So, whilst it is still worth highlighting, comments that focus only or mainly on this aspect may not be considered. Try to include more concerns such as disruption, noise, traffic, pollution, rights of way, and environmental impact.
