2024 is a huge election year up and down the ballot – including for Democratic governors. There are 11 major governors' elections this November happening in key states all across the country – including right here in North Carolina.

If we want to defend our blue firewall and stop the spread of GOP extremism, we need to start the election year strong and reach every single one of our goals. That's why I'm personally asking you to make a donation today to help the Democratic Governors Association hit their urgent $50,000 end-of-month goal. Serving two terms as governor of North Carolina has been the privilege of a lifetime. I've fought tirelessly to expand public education, create good-paying jobs, and increase access to quality and affordable health care. But even though I'm term-limited and can't run for Governor again this year, the fight for North Carolina's future is just beginning.

My state is on the front lines of our fight to end GOP extremism, defend abortion rights, protect voting rights, and so much more. It's also one of the GOP's biggest targets to weaken our blue firewall in 2024. The stakes here are crystal clear: If Republicans win this race, they won't hesitate to push my state backward and undo all the progress we've fought so hard to win.

Right now, the Republican candidates are duking it out in a MAGA-fueled race to the bottom. We don't know yet who will emerge from the primary, but we do know that they'll be radical, dangerous, and backed by some of the GOP's biggest megadonors.

That's why we can't waste ANY time here. North Carolina is one of the most expensive states in the country. The GOP will be throwing every megadonor that they've got at us. But luckily, Democrats have something that they don't: grassroots supporters like you. In a tough race like this one, grassroots activists are our most powerful allies – and grassroots dollars are our most effective resources.

To win in critical states like North Carolina and New Hampshire, we need you to be 100% on board in these vital early days. So please, will you chip in $3 or $6 – anything helps – to defend our blue firewall and elect strong Democratic governors?
