To be honest, friend – I never thought I'd get into politics.
But back in the '80s, when local officials wanted to cut my kids' preschool program, I drove out to our state capitol to fight to save it – and a male legislator told me I couldn't make a difference because I was "just a mom in tennis shoes."
Well, I laced up my tennis shoes, organized 13,000 parents, and we successfully saved the preschool program. A lot's changed since then, but one thing is the same: I'm still fighting to make a difference for working families.
Now, I just need your help to keep it up.
Experts at Politico say this election will be the "map from hell" for Senate Democrats, and the GOP is already launching multimillion-dollar ad spends in our most competitive races. But right now, we're still falling short of our $50,000 February goal.
Luckily, today's Leap Day, so we've got one extra day to close the gap. Fighting for solutions for working families will require Democrats to defend and expand our fragile blue majority at the polls, so I'm relying on your urgent grassroots support by midnight tonight to make that happen.
Please, friend, will you rush $5 now to help meet this goal, save our majority and keep our nation on the path of progress this November?
