On CNN, I stressed the importance of averting a government shutdown, Republicans working with Democrats instead of heeding to Donald Trump to pass a border security deal, sending urgent aid to our allies in Ukraine, and the inevitable Republican chaos if the Senate GOP elects a new leader even more extreme than Mitch McConnell.

I will always use my voice in the Senate to fight for common-sense solutions and reject MAGA extremism. But National Republicans recruited my multi-millionaire opponent to try to unseat me and take back the Senate. We need to stay on track in our fundraising to win and stop the GOP from expanding their far-right agenda next year.
