Can you hang tight with me for one more fundraising email this month, John?
I know you’re getting so many emails like this one, but I wouldn’t reach out if I didn’t believe
you could personally make a difference.
So yes, I’m writing to ask you for a donation to my campaign. But I’m not embarrassed to ask, or sorry I’m doing it this way. I’m
proud to make these requests, because I’m asking you – a real person – and not some nameless, faceless special interest group. Not some shady corporate PAC that expects something in return. Not my own checkbook.
We’re running this campaign the way all good things grow: from the ground up. We’re putting our trust in the roots, and I know you’ll hold me down to Earth.
It’s
harder work. It means I email a lot, and count on you more. But it’s the honest way to run, and I won’t ever do it another way.
So listen: I need to raise $8,972 more in grassroots donations before midnight to keep our people-powered campaign on track to
win. If you can chip in $25 of that, it’ll get us one step closer to winning this seat and sending a true representative to Congress. Can I count on you to give?
Here’s a link you can use – please, give what you can before midnight:

In gratitude, always,
Tekesha
